Music Ministry

Rose Music MinistryMusic is an integral part of expressing our faith.  It helps our community pray from the heart.  College students are invited to join one of our student choirs:

  • "Joyful Noise" is made up of students from ISU, SMWC, Rose-Hulman and Ivy Tech, and sings once or twice a month at the 7:00 PM Sunday Mass at St. Joe's.

  • Rose Music Ministry, a subgroup of Joyful Noise, sings at our once-a-month on-campus Masses at Rose-Hulman.  They also sing at St. Joe's when they can.

  • Practice for both groups is every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm at Rose-Hulman's White Chapel; students who cannot make that practice are asked to come to our warm-up and review an hour before whatever Mass at which we are singing.

Newcomers, both vocalists and instrumentalists, are always welcome.  Contact Carol Schaffer with questions about the group.

Liturgical Ministry

BibleStudent parishioners are encouraged to serve as liturgical ministers at St. Joe's - particularly for the 7 pm Collegiate Mass and the Rose-Hulman Mass.  Students are needed to serve as lectors, Communion Ministers, Hospitality Ministers and Altar Servers.  If you would like to serve, contact campus Minister Jeff Schaffer.

Collegiate Mass

The Sunday, 7 PM Mass is designated our Collegiate Mass.  The liturgy is specially geared toward students and others in the academic community.  Students are also especially visible as liturgical ministers at this Mass.  Of course, everyone is welcome.
